D&H Canal Grub is our theme for the month of June.
Make a dish that may have been prepared aboard an old canal boat, or items that may have been purchased along the tow path. This year we are celebrating the 200th anniversary of the start of the canal right here in Wurtsboro.
Use your imagination to bring something that may have been a meal for the “Canawlers” (or canallers”), people who lived and worked along the canal two centuries ago!
Thanks to all of you, our Fearless Foodies meet up is a can’t miss monthly event! We welcome all local foodies to join us!
We are also working on compiling these recipes into a website that you can all access after the program to make the meals again!
Please also bring a copy of the recipe (so we can make copies at the library).
