Speaker: Nathan Ermer, Biologist, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
Nathan will discuss his work in wetland and forest management, with a focus on the Basha Kill Wildlife Management Area. He will highlight the value of inland wetlands in relation to carbon retention and review his work in maintaining and protecting the Basha Kill ecosystem.
This talk is being presented in conjunction with the library’s discussion series on Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming by Paul Hawken.
