Children and teens of all ages are welcome to register for the Summer Reading Program at the Mamakating Library!

Youth who read independently and pre-readers who have books read to them can all build their reading skills this summer.

Record your child’s reading progress online through READsquared*, where you can also access kids’ brain games, reading lists and read-aloud storybooks! If you prefer, you can request a paper reading record at the library to record your child’s reading progress. Either way, your child will be eligible for prizes!

Kids can earn points for prizes by reading books, playing games and attending activities at the library.

Children going into grades K to 2 who read (or have read to them) at least 20 books and children in grades 3 to 5 who read at least 100 pages over the summer will receive an invitation to an Ice Cream Party to be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 6-7:30 p.m.

*READsquared will be available starting June 1. 2019.
