Children’s Programs ~

EVERY HERO HAS A STORY – Summer Reading Program events:

Sock Puppets
Thursday, July 9th – 10:30 a.m
You do NOT need to bring socks. All materials supplied for this one!

Street Fair!
Saturday, July 11th – Noon-4 p.m.
Stop by the library to cool off! There will be assorted crafts to make.
(No pre-registration is necessary for this event.)

Candyland
Tuesday, July 14th – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. OR 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Children will be the pieces in this room-sized game. (Groups of 8)
A sweet treat will be the reward for each winner (everyone wins!)

State Police Canine Demo
Thursday, July 16th – 6 p.m.
Families are invited to this interesting demo. Come and meet a couple of local heroes!

Marshmallow Popper
Monday, July 20th – 10:30 a.m.
Children will make a marshmallow/pom-pom popper and test their aim and accuracy with targets.

Family Movie Night
Thursday, July 23rd – 6 p.m.
Enjoy some popcorn and drinks as we watch 2014’s Big Hero 6 (Rated PG)
Bring blankets if you prefer to sit on the floor.

Superhero Training Camp
Monday, July 27th – 10:30 a.m.
Bring in your superhero capes, masks, and marshmallow poppers!
Today is Training Day! We have a variety of activities to strengthen your superhero abilities.

Butterfly Houses
Tuesday, July 28th – 10:30 a.m.
Be a superhero in your own backyard. Help beautiful butterflies rest their wings.
Children will be decorating their own butterfly house to hang in the garden.
We will be using acrylic paints so be sure to wear clothes that can get messy.

Joy of Chess Seminar (one-time event for children and adults)
Friday, July 31st – 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Learn how to play chess and then you will play the game.
Beginners welcome!
