A new garden has been installed in the back of the library, thanks to a grant from Sullivan Renaissance and the help of Joe Freddell, Andrew Freddell and John Creighton!
Our wonderful volunteers installed and planted a perennial bed along the east side of the parking lot with joe pye weed, coreopsis and babtisia. They interspersed dogwoods, red-twig and yellow-twig, with the ornamental grasses (donated by the Wurtsboro Arts Alliance in 2015) along the fence on the other side of the parking lot. Lots of mulch is going down and we are watering whenever possible. It’s pretty green now, but in the coming summers we should have lovely violets and yellows with a little bit of red. Special thanks to Joe Freddell for many hours of planning, hauling, digging, planting and supervising!
